Constance Maria Stopford née Hammersley Morges Harbour Entrance, Lake Geneva, Switzerland
An original 1880 watercolour painting, C.M. Stopford, Morges Harbour Entrance, Lake Geneva, Switzerland.
A delightful small watercolour by Constance Maria Stopford née Hammersley (1857–1930). This picture forms part of a collection of sketches by Stopford produced during her travels in Europe in the 1880s and 1890s.
Please note that although the picture dates from 1880, prior to the artist's marriage in 1882, it appears that the initials CMS (the artist's married initals) have been added at a later date.
In watercolour with graphite underdrawing.
