Watercolour on ivory in a substantial ornate gilt frame. This beautiful portrait is possibly St Agnes, often depicted with a palm frond, and painted after Titian.

Signed: One of a pair, the other of which is signed and dated on the back of the frame.
Inscribed: There is a partial inscription visible on the back of the frame which read "tian".

Condition: There is a paler stripe at the left edge of the painting, possibly indicating discolouration. The backboard to the frame is partially missing as shown. There are small chips to the frame at the back upper edge and at the back corners.
