An original 1913 watercolour painting Andromeda Floribunda Flower, Verwood, Dorset.

A delicate botanical watercolour painting with original inscription.

This painting forms part of a collection of botanical works that we have for sale associated with the village of Verwood in Dorset. It is most likely that the artist is part of a prominent Verwood family of the time. This could be related to William Fryer, a barrister, for whom Verwood Manor was built, or the first Vicar of Verwood, Rev. Claude Brown, a man of substantial private means and a powerful personality, who was instrumental in shaping the village.

Please note that if you are considering purchasing more than one painting from this collection for display together, this particular painting is sized 'large'.

In watercolour with white bodycolour On pale green paper. There is an additional watercolour painting on the verso.
