An iconic view looking towards Tower Bridge, showing barges and steam tugs in the busy working waters of the Pool of London. Sidney Ferris (1902-c.1989) was a painter and etcher who studied at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts and Goldsmiths' College. He studied etching and engraving under Stanley Anderson.

Limited Edition Etching numbered 24/75.

Signed and dated in the plate. Pencil signed and inscribed: 'The Pool of London. Signey Ferris 24/75'.
Some minor foxing and age toning as shown. Some minor wrinkling to the paper in the margins. There is historic mounting tape at the top of the sheet, which has been removed at the upper left, leaving an abrasion to the paper surface.
16.7cm x 22.8cm.
