Jacques Callot Masked Performers

An original 17th-century watercolour painting, Callot Del. Masked Performers.

Laid down on a further sheet of handmade laid.Jacques Callot was a baroque printmaker and draftsman from an important family in the Duchy of Lorraine. He played an important role in the development of the old master print, producing more than 1,400 etchings featuring characters of his day, including clowns, beggars, drunkards and Gypsies.
