Clifford George Blampied, Grand Canal, Venice - Early C20th watercolour painting

An original early 20th-century watercolour painting, Clifford George Blampied Grand Canal, Venice.

A seductive Venetian scene by Jersey artist Clifford George Blampied (1875-1962). Born at St Helier, Blampied is known for his landscape watercolours, particularly around the Channel Islands. Here he paints an iconic Grand Tour view on the Grand Canal, showing the Santa Maria della Salute bathed in hazy sunlight as seen from the water.
