An original 1935 watercolour painting, Mary Williams RWA, River Exe near Powderham, Devon.

Mary Williams RWA (1911–2002) was Devon artist, known for her local landscapes. Born at Ottery St Mary, she attended the Exeter School of Art, and in 1935 became a member of the Exeter Art Society. In 1937 she joined RWS Art Club and in 1948 the Somerset Society of Artists. She was a regular exhibitor at the Royal West of England Academy, to which she was elected a member in 1965. She was also a member of the Society of Women Artists.

Williams regularly exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh and the Royal Society of Marine Artists. In 1974 a solo exhibition of her work was held at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter.
