A large hand-coloured print after the lithograph by J.C. Bourne and drawing by Owen B. Carter. Originally lithographed for Robert Hay's 'Illustrations of Cairo', 1840.
Robert Hay was one of the pioneers of Egyptology. He first visited Egypt in 1824. This appears to be a later reproduction of the original lithograph by a photo-mechanical method.
Printed in colour with additional hand-colouring. On heavy textured cream wove paper.
