A charming Victorian watercolour by Victoria Susan Satterthwaite (1837–1906) showing a sumptuous interior, possibly at the house of the artist's birth, Dalton Hall, Burton-in-Kendal, Westmorland. After her marriage in 1861 to the local curate, Rev Charles James Satterthwaite, Victoria resided at Disley Parsonage in Cheshire.
