The German artist Felix Schurig (1852–1907) of Dresden was the son of the artist and illustrator Karl Wilhelm Schurig (1818–1874). Schurig was highly skilled at painting sensuous female subjects, such as his Woman Combing Hair in the National Museum in Warsaw.
