An original early 19th-century watercolour painting – Attrib. William Frome Smallwood, A Street Scene in Brussels.

A delicate architectural scene in Brussels, featuring the town hall tower.

There is another version of this view known to be by the artist William Frome Smallwood (1806–1834). The penwork in the present drawing, for example the cobblestones in the foreground, resembles drawings by Smallwood in the V&A.

In watercolour with pen and brown ink. On paper laid down on backing paper.
