An original c.1800 graphite drawing Preparatory Studies, Scotsman with Whisky Barrel.

An intriguing sheet of competent sketches by an anonymous hand. On the recto are studies of a kilted Scotsman with what is likely a whisky barrel, and a basket with food and cloth. On the verso are two further figure studies.

In graphite and charcoal. On laid paper.
