Inscribed on the verso: 'This was done by Rolland from a sketch of mine of Henley on Thames'. Rolland possibly refers to Rev James Rowland who was pastor at Henley-on-Thames from 1836 to 1872 and a prominent figure in the area.
In watercolour with graphite, pen and ink with white bodycolour highlights. On buff-coloured wove paper.
