An original 1913 watercolour painting Anglesey Voluntary Aid Detachments, Holyhead, North Wales.
A fabulous Edwardian era drawing in pen and ink with watercolour. This picture is one of a collection of acutely observed drawings on the North Wales coast (Anglesey, Llandudno, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay), which capture the locals, day trippers and visiting military with humour and affection.
Painted in a particularly pleasing, fresh colour palette, evocative of Edwardian and seaside style.
There is an additional watercolour painting on the verso.
