Although unverified, this is likely the bookplate of the American book collector Henry Raup Wagner (1862–1957). The design bears the Wagner coat of arms. Henry Raup Wagner assembled tens of thousands of books and manuscripts and formed several collections from them. Between 1903 and 1906 worked in London for the Guggenheim family, where he collected many books on different subjects, including South American history and economics.
