An original early 19th-century watercolour painting, Possibly Amédée Bourgeois, Rural House in France.

This delicate painting in brown wash resembles the work of French artist Amédée Bourgeois (1798–1837) and bears an indistinct signature a the lower edge.

Bourgeois studied under his father, the painter and engraver Constant Bourgeois, as well as under Baron Gros and Jean-Baptiste Regnault. He specialised in landscapes and historical scenes. His works can be found in collections at Versailles, Lille, Lyon Angers and Hyères.
