A charming miniature view by Victoria Susan Satterthwaite (1837–1906). The Midland Hotel at Morecambe, formerly the North Western Hotel, was demolished in 1932.
Victoria Satterthwaite resided at Disley Parsonage in Cheshire after her marriage in 1861 to the local curate, Rev Charles James Satterthwaite. She was born at Dalton Hall, Burton-in-Kendal, Westmorland.
In watercolour with graphite and white bodycolour highlights. On pale green thin card with curved corners. Please note the small size of this artwork.
