A beautifully composed landscape view in brown and grey wash.

William Cotton (fl.1834–1843) was a Derby porcelain painter. He painted landscapes and rural scenes, and exhibited in London 1834 to 1843. There are a series of watercolours by Cotton in the Royal Academy collection.

On paper laid down on backing paper.
