A touching dedication from Alice to her sister Mina, written in beautiful miniature copperplate.

Alice (1838–1860) and Mina (1829–1880) were the daughters of the Irish missionary in India, William Morton. Morton published a Bengali dictionary and translated biblical texts into Bengali in the 1820s and 1830s. He also served as Professor and Chaplain of Calcutta Grammar-School.
