A stylish original Art Nouveau bookplate, or ex libris, dating from around 1910 and associated with the Viennese Secession movement.
The bookplate was designed by Leopold Drexler for Emma Bacher.
Leopold Drexler (b.1888) was an Austrian designer and artist associated with the Vienna Secession and Wiener Werkstätte in the early 20th century. He is known for designing jewelry (c.1905–1925) for Oscar Dietrich. Lithographs by Drexler are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
The photographer and gallerist Emma Bacher (1868–1953) was a friend of Gustav Klimt.
