An animated Neapolitan scene, with a calessino, or horse-drawn carriage, transporting a varied ensemble of local figures.
The lithographer Gaetano Dura lived and worked in Naples. In the 1830s he joined the lithographer and publisher Federico Gatti. This partnership gave rise to a prolific print business, primarily devoted to the publication of popular prints describing the everyday life of Naples.
