Louis Denizot French Porcelain & Gilt Bronze Bowl Design
An original 1881 watercolour painting, Louis Denizot, French Porcelain & Gilt Bronze Bowl Design.
This beautiful original design was exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1889. The porcelain and ornate bronze gilt style is typical of French 19th century ceramics, but the organic symmetrical fronds of the bowl's inner pattern show elements of early Art Nouveau style, as well as geometry reminiscent of Islamic patterns. On thin paper watermarked 'Lafuma Voiron'.Please note that this picture will ship rolled in a tube. The paper is somewhat delicate so requires care when handling.
