A cartoonist, caricaturist and a commercial and poster artist, he is perhaps best known for his iconic images of the Bisto Kids, Bovril, Lux and Lifebuoy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eOwen studied at the Lambeth School of Art and worked in Richmond and London for most of his career. He contributed prolifically to Strand Magazine, Punch, the Bystander and The Sketch, and he produced illustrations for the humorous writer W.W. Jacobs.
