Set of five original c.1814 engraving prints – Ottoman Figures, Persia & Armenia.

An interesting group of five miniature engravings showing costumed figures from the Persian Empire. At least one of the prints is from the 1814 publication on Persia by the French orientalist, philologist, and secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amable Jourdain (1788–1818), 'La Perse ou tableau de l'histoire...'.

Handcoloured stipple engravings with mezzotint. Each print measures approx. 6.5 x 10cm.

The prints are corner mounted on a folded cream backing paper.
