This drawing forms part of a collection of original vintage fashion designs we have for sale by C. Keeling dating from the 1940s. The beautiful designs epitomise the glamour of an era which celebrated the female hour-glass figure, with nipped in high waist tops, full hips and gorgeous flowing skirts. In the face of wartime privations, these designs show a desire to embrace a lighter and more indulgent side of living. Two of the designs are dated 1946 and three are inscribed faintly with dressmaking related instructions on the verso.
