An original 19th-century lithograph print, C.H. Horne after Lewis John Wood Town Square, France.
An impressive colour lithograph. Signed in the plate lower left: "C.H. Horne Lith" and lower right: "L.J. Wood". Laid down on backing paper.
The paper is somewhat buckled from apparent historic water damage. However, this does not significantly detract from the image and would be concealed if framed. There are marks and abrasions to the very outer edge of the sheet as shown, and two short tears to the paper at the left edge.
37.7cm x 26.7cm.
Lewis John Wood RI (1813-1901) was a British Victorian artist known for his continental architectural watercolours.
