This work forms part of a collection of pictures we have for sale by Yorkshire artist E.F. Hearfield. The collection includes a number of artist portraits of figures connected with York Art Society in the 1970s to 1990s - which have something of the flavour of the intimate portrait sketches by David Hockney and the Yorkshire world of playwright Alan Bennett. The collection also comprises skilful ink and was drawings of engaging views around the picturesque, medieval city of York, from glimpses of York Minster to barges moored on the River Ouse.
