A engaging large illustration, showing the York Young People's Theatre performance at York Festival in 1980. In ink and brown wash on smooth paper. The names of the actors and their characters are inscribed below.

This work forms part of a collection of pictures we have for sale by Yorkshire artist E.F. Hearfield. The collection includes a number of artist portraits of figures connected with York Art Society in the 1970s to 1990s - which have something of the flavour of the intimate portrait sketches by David Hockney and the Yorkshire world of playwright Alan Bennett. The collection also comprises skilful ink and was drawings of engaging views around the picturesque, medieval city of York, from glimpses of York Minster to barges moored on the River Ouse.
