Piercebridge Bridge, Tees, County Durham -Late 19th-century watercolour painting

An original late 19th-century watercolour painting, Piercebridge Bridge, Tees, County Durham.

An upriver view of the arches of the Piercebridge bridge over the River Tees in County Durham. This work complements a more centralised view of the 13th century bridge also in this collection. Laid down on backing paper.

Unsigned.
Some very faint, minor foxing. The verso of the backing paper has abrasions at the corners, which does not affect the front image.
16.6cm x 24.2cm.
Unframed.

This work is one of a small grouping of late nineteenth-century watercolours that focuses primarily on landscape and coastal scenes from County Durham and Yorkshire.
