An original late 19th-century watercolour painting, Rowboat, Runswick Bay, Yorkshire.

A charming watercolour painting of two figures rowing a boat into the fishing village Runswick Bay, on the North Yorkshire Coast. With scratching out to denote sea spray. Laid down on backing paper.

Unsigned. Inscribed at the far lower edge verso: 'Runswick Bay, Yorks.'
Minor age toning as shown. The verso of the backing paper has abrasions at the corners, which does not affect the front image.
17.1cm x 24.4cm.
Unframed.

This work is one of a small grouping of late 19th-century watercolours that we have for sale which focuses primarily on landscape and coastal scenes from County Durham and North Yorkshire.
