A vibrant collection of works in a variety of media dating from the 1960s by the hand of D. Clarke. These engaging works span a range of subjects, from fine architectural views around Northampton, to interesting portrait studies, to domestic subjects evocative of the Kitchen Sink school. The pictures are rendered in a range of media, utilising in particular the chalky opacity of gouache to bring expressive colour and intensity to the subjects.
