I'd love to know more about the hand behind our new collection of caricatures of the British Raj. The artist was evidently someone associated with high society at the hill station known as Ootacamund, or Ooty, the summer capital of the Madras Presidency. The drawings poke fun at the British imperial and political elite in the 1880s.
