An original late 19th-century pen & ink drawing Caricature of Actor John Brougham.

An interesting caricature of the prolific Irish-American actor playwright John Brougham (1810–1880) in character as an 18th-century gentleman. John Brougham was one of the best known actors of his day, but he has been little studied after his lifetime.

This detailed drawing resembles a print in style but is in fact hand-drawn in ink.
