An original 1819 etching print, George Ernest Howman, Jesus on the Cross.
An interesting Rembrandtesque miniature artist's etching.
The artist is George Ernest Howman (c.1797–1878), who has a picture in Lyme Regis Museum. Howman went on to become Clerk and Rector of Barnsley, Gloucestershire. Later in life he changed his name to Little, and he died in Newbold Pacey Hall, Warwickshire.
