An original mid-19th-century watercolour painting Figure on Coastal Road with Thatched Roundhouse.

A deftly painted, breezy view in watercolour with graphite and bodycolour highlights. There is an interesting thatched roundhouse at the right. The brief way in which the figures and animals are painted is reminiscent of David Cox Snr OWS (1783–1859).

On green-grey heavy paper.

Provenance: The Collection of the etcher Percy James Westwood (1878–1958) and by descent.
