Little is recorded about Muriel Haden Inwood, but it is likely that she was the sister of the painter Derek Inwood (1925–2012), who lived at Sheringham in Norfolk. There are a number of Sheringham views in our collection.
Muriel Inwood painted local landscapes in Norfolk, as well as in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire, and abroad in the Pyrenees. She also painted still lifes and theatrical ballet subjects.
