An exquisite Victorian portrait in watercolour with gum arabic and white bodycolour. With exceptional detail to the face, the diaphanous lace bonnet and decorative flowers.
The painting has the quality and fine detail of a portrait miniature but is larger in size. It is photorealistic and gives the impression of a photograph, but there is no discernable trace of an underprinted or photographic image.
Painted on board with a smooth coated paper surface.
