The majority of paintings in this collection are lively watercolours by a single anonymous hand dated 1899 to 1903. Subjects include various views, from Oban in Scotland and Freshwater Bay on the Isle of Wight. There are also a number of pictures by other hands, which we acquired as part of the same collection—including a Cornish watercolour by Reverend George Hext and a recent bird subject by Roy Stockwell.
